It's that time of year when the weather gets chilly, the department stores are bustling with holiday shoppers and of course for the annual National Christmas Tree Lighting. The four-week celebration is sponsored by the National Park Service and the National Park Foundation and will start on December 9 at President's Park in Washington, D.C.

The National Park Service and the National Park Foundation recently announced that B.B. King, Sara Bareilles, and Maroon 5 will all be performing at the event. Additional entertainers will be announced in the near future.

If you aren't one of the lucky attendees that will have the pleasure of seeing the holiday extravaganza in person, take heart because you can view the ceremony online all throughout December.
