Sea Shepherd reveals 'Ady Gil' replacement vessel

Share |

To aid in the seventh campaign against Japanese whalers in the Southern Ocean, Sea Shepherd has unveiled its high speed replacement to the Ady Gil which was hit and destroyed by the Shonan Maru #2 earlier this year.

The as of now unnamed vessel, will join the Bob Barker and the Steve Irwin on the 2010 - 2011 'Operation No Compromise' aimed at impeding hunting in the Antarctic whale sanctuary.

During the last 6 campaigns Sea Shepherd, headed by Captain Paul Watson, has saved almost 2,000 whales, and brought the activities of the Japanese whaling fleet to a worldwide audience with the program 'Whale Wars' which is broadcast by Animal Planet.
