Planet Green to air fur industry documentary 'Kill It, Skin It, Wear It'

Planet Green will air Kill It, Skin It, Wear It on October 30 as part of the channel's documentary series, Reel Impact. The 2008 investigative report follows BBC correspondent Merrilees Parker on a personal journey as she attempts to determine if it is ever possible to wear fur without a guilty conscience.

Parker reveals during the documentary that she does wear fur but claims she will only do so if the fur is a result of ethically sourced food. During her quest for answers the British celebrity chef investigates the recent surge in fur popularity, meets with animal rights advocates, visits fur farms and fashion designers, and is forced to answer the question—Will I ever wear fur again.

Kill It, Skin It, Wear It airs October 30, at 9 p.m. ET on Planet Green.

  1. Too bad there is no such thing as "ethically sourced food!" Another great movie on this subject is Skin Trade.

  2. "Ethically sourced food?" Roadkill? What a cop-out.

What fur comes from "food" animals anyway? We don't eat mink, fox, coyote, raccoon, dog, cat.

  3. The very definition of "oxymoron" when talking about slaughtered animals: "ethically sourced food."
