Missing dog found mutilated on porch in Pennsylvania

A three year old husky mix that ran away from home last week, was found dismembered several days later.

Sheri Verdon, from the Somerton section of Pennsylvania found the dog, that had been sawn in half, on the porch of her home and believes it was the work of an ex-boyfriend who has been harassing her.

"It's just very horrific, very hard to describe," Verdon said. "I don't really want to get into a lot of details because, in respect for the owner who just found out."

The dog, called Chico, was still wearing its tag and police were able to quickly find the owner who identified the body on Monday.

The Pennsylvania Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals is investigating the matter, and are offering a $1000.00 reward in the case.
