'World Go Vegan Week' another reason to celebrate

Halloween isn’t the only thing worth celebrating this time of year as the fifth annual World Go Vegan Week kicked off Oct 24 and will run though Oct 31.

In honor of Vegan Week, In Defense of Animals (IDA) has teamed up with Mercy for Animals (MFA) to work with restaurants in cities such as Chicago, Illinois; New York City, New York; Columbus, Ohio; and Dallas, Texas to create delectable vegan delights.

This is a great opportunity for vegans to try new and exciting food. And for those of you who have skeptical non-vegan friends that “fear” plant-based food, this will provide you a chance to expose them to a whole new world of yummy goodness.

If you would like to know more about this event and participating restaurants please check out mercyforanimals.org. If you do not live in one of the cities partaking in Vegan Week speak up and don’t be afraid to ask your favorite restaurant to create something vegan for you. You’ll never know until you try, you might be pleasantly surprised.
