Glee star Lea Michele credits vegan diet for keeping her slim

Glee star Lea Michele has been featured in an article for UsMagazine.com where she credits her animal free diet for keeping her slim. Changing her diet after reading the 2005 book Skinny Bitch, Michele's decision to become vegan was not an easy one.

"Coming from an Italian family, you can imagine (they) couldn't understand. But they respected my decision," she explained in the June issue of Women's Health.

Nowadays, the star is happy to speak out for animal rights and is working with the People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals (PETA).

Michele says, "I'm so honored I get to work with PETA every single day. Being on a television show that has such wonderful fans as we do, the fact that I have the opportunity to speak out about the things I believe in and that maybe someone will listen, I feel, is the biggest honor."

  3. I just don't get the fascination with this Glee show. Can someone please explain to me why this disaster is so popular?

  4. i don't know hialrt23 but I would have used this time more wisely to praise someone who's going to veg route instead of bashing their line of work or whatever you could call it

  5. Since I am not 'veg' I couldn't care less about what she eats. A friend of mine who can't get enough of Glee sent this story to me. I was just wondering if anyone could explain the appeal of this show. Maybe next time you can "use this time more wisely" by actually answering my question rather than just flapping your virtual gums.
