Vegan dishes from PETA’s 30th Anniversary Gala and Humanitarian Awards

This past Saturday, PETA celebrated three decades of fighting for animal rights with its 30th Anniversary Gala and Humanitarian Awards, hosted by actor Alec Baldwin. Guests—which included a long list of celebrities—were treated to scrumptious vegan fare courtesy of Wolfgang Puck.

While we, probably like you, were not in attendance at the event, the good folks over at PETA sent us the following photos to highlight some of the favorite dishes from the gala.

Caramel Apple Tarts

Pesto Brushed Tofu over Sweet Corn and Fava Bean Succotash

Sweet Corn Tamales with Gardein Pulled “pork”, Salsa Verde and Avocados

Dessert Buffet featuring Watermelon Carpaccio with Fennel Pollen and Sweet Red Onion, Saffron Rice Pudding, Caramel Apple Tarts, Chocolate Covered Fruit, Banana Date Shakes, Chocolate Dipped Peanut Butter Cookies

Other favorites on the menu included Moroccan Spiced Chickpea Cake With Apricot-Date Chutney; Mini BLT With Tempeh Bacon, Lettuce, Tomato, and Vegenaise on Ciabatta; and Watermelon Carpaccio With Fennel Pollen and Sweet Red Onion.  Head on over to PETA for additional highlights from the evening.
