Betty White named GLAZA chairman, raps on NBC’s ‘Community’

Last week it was announced that Betty White has been named chairman of the Greater Los Angeles Zoo Association (GLAZA), succeeding the late Tom Mankiewicz who passed away on July 31, 2010.

"I'm enormously honored to take on this role, especially being able to follow in the footsteps of our beloved Tom. Of everything I do, animal well-being is my most important role, and that's why I've worked with the Zoo and other animal organizations for so long."

White’s work with the zoo—she notes it as “one of her two loves in life alongside show business”—spans 46 years.

Speaking of show business and proving once again how hot White truly is, during the closing scenes of Thursday night’s premier of Community, NBC’s comedy series about a group of misfit students at a community college in Colorado, White joins Abed and Troy in a rap blessing the rains down in Africa.

The question begs to be asked: Does Betty White ever sleep?
