Adoptapalooza event to help homeless pets this Sunday in NYC

If any New Yorkers out there are in the market for a new furry friend to help keep you warm this winter then head over to Washington Square Park in Greenwich Village this Sunday, September 12th from 11-4, for the Adoptapalooza event. The event will feature over 100 cats and dogs up for adoption.

Adoptapalooza is sponsored by the Mayor’s Alliance for NYC's Animals and PEOPLEpets.com, People magazine’s website for animal lovers and their pets.

In addition to possibly finding a new BFF, the day will also include a silly pet trick contest for people and their dogs, dog makeovers, question-and-answer sessions with animal experts, a raffle, and photo opportunities.

There will also be a pet fashion show, a nod perhaps, to New York’s fashion week, which is in full swing right now.
