"I consider animal rights very linked to human rights and to environmental rights. For me it's just one issue," explained Quintero. She credits PETA for her decision to turn to a plant-based diet.
Both Quintero and Sánchez encourage people to be open to the idea of cutting out meat, dairy, and eggs.
Sánchez said, “You become a little more compassionate. You think more about not just the animals but the hunger around the world and, as Gabriela said before, I think there is one solution for many many problems.“
