As we reported yesterday the brother and sister team of Philippe and Alexandra Cousteau have joined Planet Green for the second installment of Blue August—a month long event that urges protection and appreciation of our planet’s waters.

During Blue August viewers will be treated to water-themed shows such as CoastWatch, Oceans Blue, Blue Planet, Black Wave: Legacy of the Exxon Valdez, SharkWater, and The Cove. Additionally, this year Planet Green has teamed up with leading environmental advocacy and conservation organizations Ocean Conservancy, Oceana, Surfrider Foundation, The Nature Conservancy, and the Natural Resources Defense Council to help provide information about how you can help save our shores.
