Need a veggie boost and don't feel like cooking: Kale Smoothie is not disgusting

Need a vegetable boost and don’t feel like cooking? Juice it!

Kale, like its cruciferous cousins, packs a TON of nutrients. Scientists believe that its potent phytonutrient sulforaphane boosts the body’s natural detox enzymes, helping to show cancer-causing substances the door.

Even in the smoggy city of Singapore, smokers who ate a lot of these veggies lowered their lung cancer risk by 69%! Cancer studies showing similar results are abundant. (Google goes on about it for days.)

This simple recipe includes about 5 leaves of kale, a handful of raspberries, two chopped pears, and 2 cups of water. I added a scoop of rice protein, too.

If anything was weird it was the texture of the pear. So blend long, and try different fruits. But as for downing some kale this quickly and conveniently, I’m sold. It was pretty sweet and yummy.

Your bonus: Kale is also a good source of calcium, minus the milk yuk.
