Additional vegetarian food options among Fenway Park upgrades

If you are a Boston based veg head that loves catching an afternoon ballgame at legendary Fenway Park this year you will have an expanded menu to choose from.

Fenway’s food service provider, Aramark, will offer three new vegetarian food selections that include a new veggie dog, veggie burger and mozzarella stromboli. The new items augment the existing vegetarian fare such as fruit cups, vegetarian burritos, salads and pizza that were available last year.

Fenway Park made an appearance on PETA’s top ten vegetarian friendly ballparks back in 2004, maybe the new expanded vegetarian menu will prompt the animal rights organization to reconsider baseball’s oldest venue.

Last year PETA named Citizens Bank Park in Philadelphia its number one ballpark, the home of the Phillies is also run by Aramark Food Services.
