While many of us are still shaking our heads at the fur featured at New York Fashion Week, we can take solace in knowing that compassionate fashion is still hot and available for animal-loving individuals.
Imposter, an animal friendly initiative that’s mission is to save animals by harnessing the power of enterprise, has partnered with Farm Sanctuary, the nation’s leading farm animal protection organization. The partnership will ensure that animals receive a well-deserved cut of the profits from all Imposter sales.
The Imposter signature fashion collections use the best faux fur in the world and utilize a universally-recognizable symbol, IM, to identify the product as animal-friendly from the outside. This allows consumers to wear the products without the fear of someone thinking the fur is real.
“Many companies copy and showcase the most beautiful of nature’s inventions, often taking everything including breath and life in the most heinous ways,” said Imposter Founder Jaclyn Sharp. “Imposter, on the other hand, harnesses the power of enterprise to save lives. We are honored to give a portion of the profits of every sale to the more than 1,000 rescued animals who reside at Farm Sanctuary’s shelters and to the organization’s advocacy efforts to improve the lives of billions of animals raised and slaughtered for food every year in this country.”
The cruelty-free fashion initiative, which has attracted the attention of stars such as Carrie Underwood, Angie Harmon, Emmy Rossum, Jessica Lownes, and Olivia Palermo, includes faux fur hats, vests, and ear muffs.
“We are thrilled to partner with a compassionate, lifesaving brand like Imposter,” said Farm Sanctuary’s President and Co-Founder Gene Baur. “By creating a label that is not only synonymous with cruelty-free fashion, but also a coveted fashion accessory in and of itself, Jaclyn Sharp and her revolutionary business concept will help shift the demand curve toward animal friendly products and away from those that exploit.”
