Just as Lex Luthor has Superman, Wolverine has Sabretooth and Dudley Do-Right has Snidely Whiplash, “Meat Week” now has an arch-nemesis, enter “DC Meat Free Week.”

According to DCVegan.com, the idea of “Meat Free Week” was inspired after DC vegetarian and vegans caught wind of the of “Meat Week” event.

An impressive array of restaurants will be participating in the meatless occasion that will take place Feb. 6 thru 12th including “America’s first certified organic restaurant, the 2009 OpenTable.com Diner’s Choice Winner, and Washington City Paper’s 2009 Best Bakery and Best Vegan Restaurant.”
