Andrew Hunt, a history professor at Canada’s University of Waterloo, is hoping to convert Sarah Palin to veganism. Hunt plans to send the former Alaskan Governor weekly 1000-word letters that contain information about animal rights and the health benefits of a vegan diet.

Palin, a pertinacious meat eater who pondered the idea, “If God had not intended for us to eat animals, how come He made them out of meat” in Going Rogue and is known for her love of moose and caribou -- on the center of her plate, will be a hard nut to crack.  You betcha!

“I intend to send them to her very religiously. I intend to persuade her that this is a much better way,” Hunt said in an interview with Ontario’s The Record. “I tend to write them as if I’m sitting at the dinner table with her.”

Hunt, who was a meat-eater most of his life, understands Palin’s love for animal products but wants to educate her about the suffering that is created by her choices. The vegan professor plans to be respectful when writing to Palin and hopes to publish the letters in a book with the proceeds being donated to animal sanctuaries in the U.S. and Canada.
