Gordon’s Great Escape was recently broadcast on U.K. television. The three part series followed Ramsay’s first visit to India where he was able to discover the history of his favorite food: Curry.

In the final episode, Ramsay headed to South India which is known worldwide as a  vegetarian mecca. While in the meat-free zone the chef meets with Indian restaurant critic, Rashmi Uday Singh who had a theory relating Ramsay's penchant for eating meat and his irritability. "We believe that is what is responsible for your bad temper," Singh tells Ramsay. The chef hotly shot back, "Eating meat makes you bad tempered? What a load of bollocks."

In other Ramsay news, the culinary expert is now casting for his new show MasterChef which will feature amateur chefs who are passionate about food and have not been formally trained in a professional kitchen. Differing from past Ramsay shows, trained chefs will not be considered.

According to the casting call, “MasterChef is a show that celebrates great people who make great food. The show will give contestants the opportunity to develop their cooking skills while being encouraged, mentored and celebrated by the industry’s best and evaluated by world-renowned judges!”

Those who can attend the casting call in person, are asked to fill out a lengthy application and must bring a prepared dish that will be served at room temperature. The next open casting call is on Jan. 31 from 10 a.m. – 4 p.m. in Los Angeles. Applicants who cannot attend the casting call may submit a video online.

Per usual we don't expect to see any vegetarian contestants on a U.S. Ramsay show. However if a veggie is able to infiltrate MasterChef, we wish them the best of luck.

Gordon Ramsay's USA Kitchen Nightmares (season) premiers Jan. 29 on FOX.
