Animals Australia provided video footage for the 60 Minutes investigation into the pig farming industry which aired in November. The exposé, coupled with an Animals Australia TV ad campaign that showed a shopper discovering where her bacon really came from, forced the Australia’s pork industry representative body Australian Pork Limited (APL) to update their consumer information website. Unfortunately, to quell consumer’s concerns the APL provided false information about the industry’s standards and regulations.
The protection organization, which is known to be the voice for animals, spotlights informative videos about factory farming, live export trade, and horse racing on animalsaustralia.org. Additionally, visitors to the website can find the heartwarming video "Where Are They Now?" which documents Animals Australia's journey to find homes for forty-two piglets who starred in Charlotte’s Web.
Animals Australia, which relies solely on public donations, encourages compassionate living through changing daily habits, not supporting factory farming, and shifting to a plant-based diet. For more information about Animals Australia and its current campaigns, visit animalsaustralia.org.
