Vegetarians need not skip the Thanksgiving Day festivities due to their decision to pass on turkey, gravy, and other traditionally meat-centric dishes.
Tofurky or Quorn Turk’y Roast can serve as a main dish on the vegetarian Thanksgiving table. These humane turkey substitutes can be cooked within a few hours and have a similar taste and texture to their meat counterpart.
Mashed potatoes are a staple at Thanksgiving. This fare is typically topped with gravy made with animal drippings or meat broth. Foregoing the meat is easy with a vegetarian mushroom gravy made with mushrooms, soy sauce, and vegetable broth.
